About:
Dr Mukherjee completed medical school and ENT training in Sydney. After completing her FRACS (ENT), she did a Masters of Surgery (University of Sydney) focusing on Cochlear Implantation under the guidance of Professor William Gibson. She undertook further subspecialty fellowship training at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery (London) with Professor Michael Gleeson specialising in treating Adult and Paediatric diseases affecting the Middle ear and Mastoid, the Skull Base as well as in Cochlear Implantation.
She is the Research Lead in ENT at the RPA Institute of Academic Surgery, a committee member on the NSW division of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and also a committee member on the Meniere’s Research Fund. She has a dual appointment both at the Central Clinical School and the Northern Clinical School (Sydney Advenstist Hospital). Her special interests include diseases affecting the hearing and balance such as Meniere’s disease, Vestibular Schwannoma, Otosclerosis, Cholesteatoma and chronic ear disease.
